Rebuilt Generators
Rebuilt generators, also know as reconditioned, remanufactured or refurbished generators, are an economical alternative to buying a new generator.
Rebuilt generators, also know as reconditioned, remanufactured or refurbished generators, are an economical alternative to buying a new generator. Reducing cost without sacrificing quality, rebuilt generators are tested and fully certified to guarantee reliability and your satisfaction
There are numerous generator dealers and generator manufacturers who deal with rebuilt generators, and who have high quality replacement parts available to suit many generator types and models. Some advantages of rebuilt generators include:
1. Rebuilt generators are rebuilt and tested to original manufacturers specifications and usually carry the same warranty.
2. Remanufactured generators can often be delivered in hours or at the most days instead of weeks or months. This will get you up and running quickly, eliminating expensive down time.
3. Refurbished equipment is often made from older equipment that is built heavier and tougher.
Experienced, qualified workers will rebuild your generator equipment. Refurbishing services may include anything from minor repairs to a complete rewind and remanufacture of almost every type and size of A.C. and D.C. generator or motor. All generator repairs must meet or exceed the strictest specifications of the manufacturer. Most rebuilding generator dealers aim to return your rebuilt generator within a matter of hours or days, although it may take longer for certain antique and special generator units.
Many generator dealers and manufacturers have a large inventory of re-buildable cores on hand that come in handy when a part is missing, stripped out, or broken on a generator that they are rebuilding. All rebuilt units are completely remanufactured to the original manufacturer specifications and are fully tested.
In addition to repaired or rebuilt generators, generator dealers also stock and sell several other product lines to meet your every generator need. They have the people, the experience, the parts and the wholesale prices to make your rebuilt generator business a breeze!
In order to ensure that a rebuilt generator or a newly manufactured piece of equipment complies with nationally recognized safety requirements (i.e. UL requirements), certification programs are available to determine whether or not any piece of rebuilt equipment continues to comply with the applicable UL requirements. These programs consist of a review of the generator or motor rebuilding facility in order to:
1. Determine that the materials to be used are adequate (i.e. insulation materials and wires).
2. Establish that a minimum amount of proper measurement equipment is available to inspect and test all aspects of the rebuilt generators and motors.
3. Review the machining and manufacturing equipment to verify that they are suitable for the type of rebuilding work that may be necessary.
