Fireplace Crystals

Fireplace Crystals

Now you know me and, what a firm believer I am in 'If it aint broke, don't fix it'. Why go around messing with something as perfect as a beautiful fireplace? Once I saw how easy these fireplace crystals were to purchase, use and maintain, though, it was hard to argue the point. I like to give both sides of the argument, so here it is.

The big complaint against fire crystals is that they cannot simulate those crackling leaves of flame, nor the authentic smell of burning birch. No arguments there. All I can say is nothing in this world is perfect.

Now for the other side. These mess-free, no hassle glass crystals create that same fantastic feeling of warmth and comfort that you receive from other conventional fireplaces. Storage is simple too, not like lugging and storing bulky logs. Here are some details on the fireplace crystals near you.

Cleaner warmth and less mess- fire crystals burn clean heat, giving you the warmth without the smoke or soot that wood produces.

Safety- the harmful asbestos often found in ceramic logs do not exist in fireplace crystals. In addition, you don't have to worry about the occasional burning ashes or popping cinders as you do with real wood fires (thus making a screen unnecessary- unless there are small children or pets around).

Quality- obviously these glass crystals have been formulated and treated to withstand intense heat without discoloring, melting or burning

Color combos- Crystals come in premixed batches (based on popular color choices) and are available for you to mix and match on your own. If you get the right color combination, it actually looks like burning embers. While it's not the real McCoy, it does produce a nice effect.

Easy installation- Installing fireplace crystals is as simple as hooking up the new burner and pouring your glass into place.

Additional benefits- Fire crystals do double duty, working even when there's no fire lit. The glass crystals reflect light and create a magnificent light show when no fire is burning.

While I've never measured, sources say that fire crystals are energy efficient and radiate nearly five times more heat than wood burning or artificial fires.

Glass crystals are also appropriate for in or outdoor fire pits and outdoor fire tables.

Again, I'm not saying there are no drawbacks. Trading in the traditional crackling fire for a newer model is a tough choice, and, if you're a staunch purist, fire crystals may not be the right things for you. But if you are interested in a warming agent that is safe, clean and uncomplicated, fireplace crystals are your best bet.
